(RD1) Head of HR

£60,000.00 Per Annum

Harris Burns are excited to be working in partnership with a West Midlands based, not for profit organisation.

You will be responsible for working across the organisation to ensure effective and best practice Human Resources policies and processes are in place which are legally compliant and that they are embedded and adhered to across the organisation.  

This is a full generalist role and a great mix of strategy and being a true operator in the heart of the business. You will ideally have a proven background in the not for profit sector and you must have high levels of personal integrity mixed with a strong understanding of current HR practices. You will need to be logical in your approach to projects and support positive cultural change. You must be able to demonstrate that you have influenced at Board level and have also built strong relationships with all levels.

As Head of HR you will be required to develop, review, implement and embed an HR /People strategy that is aligned to the business objectives ensuring that the policies remain best practice and legally compliant.  You will lead on regular reviews on salary and remuneration structure to ensure that it provides the best staff possible. You will regularly review the talent management processes within the business areas, including performance/potential management, resource planning and succession planning with the Directors to meet long-term objectives and create a long-term workforce plan. Lead on the development and roll-out of staff performance policies and processes ensuring that they reflect best practice and are fair and transparent for all. Ensure that the HR policies and procedures are complied with on an ongoing basis. Additionally, you will need to be able to implement effective time and attendance policies, manage the return to work process and lead the HR team.
