Our CCGs recently established a new single leadership team focused on the strategic, geographic and local needs of people across Staffordshire as we move towards a single strategic commissioning function.   We are looking to appoint a single Chief Finance Officer for the six CCGs in Staffordshire.

Leading the CCG’s financial strategy, financial management and financial governance, you will contribute significantly to the development of commissioning strategies and act as the Senior Information Responsible officer (SIRO).  In addition, you will work as part of the executive team in providing leadership both within our CCG and across the wider health and social care system. This will involve representing the CCG externally and playing an active and important role in shaping the future of our STP.

The six CCGs are ambitious organisations comprising 150 GP practices that serve around 1.1 million people.  This is a key time for our organisations and an opportunity for you to join a group of organisations with high levels of clinical engagement.

Demonstrating proven leadership experience gained at an organisational/ system level, you will have worked within the NHS or wider healthcare setting at Director level. You will be able to quickly establish credibility within the CCGs and their partner organisations and enjoy working with clinicians together with a diverse range of wider stakeholders.

A qualified accountant, you will be able to demonstrate experience of delivering large scale transformation, extensive experience of provider performance management and proven strategies for improving financial performance.  You will have experience operating at board-level and knowledge of system wide working.

Ultimately, we seek to provide the best quality and value of services to the population we serve and as Chief Finance Officer you will champion this objective.
