A career isn’t just about earning a living, is it? It’s about leadership. Having your say. Making things happen. Putting your stamp on the future.

And that’s why you’ll fit in perfectly as part of this team.

We are a 60 million pound national social justice charity with more than 50 years’ experience of changing lives, building stronger communities and reducing crime. Last year alone we helped 73% of our tenants successfully move on to sustainable accommodation, 3,500 young people and adults studied with us across our education service and our justice services ensured that 3,634 people left custody with safe and secure permanent accommodation

Who we are looking for?

Following a considerable period of change within our Finance department we are now looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader capable of motivating and developing our Finance function to enable it to provide effective, efficient and proactive services to key stakeholders both internal and external.

To be successful in this role you will be a professionally and fully Qualified Accountant and have substantial post qualification experience. You should also have considerable experience of managing financial systems, processes and controls.

Experience of change management is desirable but not essential.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  •  Ensure the strategic and corporate objectives are embedded and delivered within the finance function whilst working closely with the Finance & Corporate Services Director to review and deliver our financial strategy.
  • Lead, manage and motivate staff establishing clear performance and development objectives, supporting and constructively challenging your team to achieve these.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and insightful financial information is provided to key stakeholders within agreed timescales including the completion of statutory annual accounts.
  • Ensure that appropriate accounting systems, policies and procedures are in place and adopted across the organisation.

This is a great opportunity to really change the process and dynamics of this Finance team. Once your team is running smoothly you can develop your talents further, taking on new corporate challenges to develop this organisation, adding new business and contracts and offering strategic input.
