(HC83) Finance Manager (Shared Services)
Leicestershire | £54,000.00 - 59,000.00 Per Annum
Picture the scene.
An organisation wants to improve its delivery of public services, internally and externally. It’s a large, complex body with several sites in the UK.
The Finance Team (comprising accounts payable, receivable and payroll) needs a leader. Someone who can inspire, motivate and develop a large, well-established team of long-serving employees.
Could that person be you?
Do you have the drive and ambition to make a massive difference to this team? Have you a proven track record in change management? Would you relish the opportunity to improve the individuals in the department, the IT systems and processes?
Maybe this could be you?
As a fully qualified accountant, you’ll have gained your experience within a large, complex, highly regulated organisation. Perhaps from financial services, utilities or a public sector body. Whatever your background, you’ll understand regulatory compliance and reporting structures. In this role, you’ll take the responsibility for regulatory reporting. Managing and reporting on large volumes of data will be second nature to you, and you’ll enjoy analysing and improving the data reporting systems.
From a managerial perspective, you’ll love working with teams of talented people, and you’ll have the ability to improve their performance, gaining the best outputs from them. As this is a newly-created position, you’ll be able to create and implement your own metrics for the team and give them the tools they need to achieve them. Each team member will need managing differently. Your experience of managing people will tell you that some will respond positively to these changes and others less so. You’ll know how to lead these individuals through the new systems and help them achieve the high levels you expect.
