About The Role:

Full time - Hybrid way of working

Job Summary - Are you an experienced qualified accountant looking for a new & exciting challenge?

Reporting to the Head of Finance you will have the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance team.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Preparation of the management accounts & budgets, including reporting on any significant deviations from budget.

  • Year-end procedures & statutory accounts preparation in accordance with reporting requirements.

  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements e.g., Vat Corporation Tax etc

  • Liaising with internal & external auditors.

  • Supervision of the Finance team to ensure reporting timescales are adhered to.

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • CCAB qualification

  • At least 2 years’ experience of leading a team.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with all finance professionals & non finance professionals.

  • The ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear & concise reports to non-financial personnel.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to allow you to keep your team well-informed and motivated.

  • Experience of working within a NHS, LA’s or Public/Private sector Children's/Adult Services environment.

£50,649 - £53,717 per annum - Band 8a
